Writing Essay 3, Movie Review (BENNY & JOON)

I will talk about one of my favorite movies called “BENNY & JOON”. It’s a Romantic-comedy. It was released on 16 April in 1993. The director is Jeremiah S. Chechik. The cast includes Johnny Depp who plays the role of Sam, Mary Stuart Masterson as Joon, Aidan Quinn as Benny, and Julianne Moore as Ruthie. This movie is about a woman who is mentally ill finds her love in an eccentric man.

Joon and her brother, Benny lived in a small town. Joon had a mentally illness, so after they lost their parents, Benny who worked for an auto mechanic took care of her very hard. However he was really hesitant about whether or not to leave her in a facility. The doctor and his friends advised him to do that, because he always put Joon first. He never went out because of his sister.

Benny and Joon were in his friend’s house as always, and when he left the house for a bit, she was playing poker with his friends. Because she lost, she had to take care of her friend’s cousin, Sam. He is quiet, eccentric, and didn’t know how to read or write. However Sam was growing on Joon.

One day, Benny, Joon and Sam went on a picnic, but Benny was feeling down. He blew his first date with Ruthie, so Sam started to mime to cheer him up. His pantomime was incredible, and a crowd of people had gathered around him. Benny was amazed with Sam’s pantomime, and secretly made an appointment for an audition. However Joon didn’t like that idea and they started to argue. Then while arguing, Benny found out they were in a relationship. He got mad and kicked Sam out. That night, Sam and Joon tried to run away, but she had a panic attack on the bus. She went straight to the mental hospital.

She kept refusing to see Benny, and finally realized that what she needed was Sam. Benny and Sam sneaked into the hospital, and tried to take her home. After they had talked, Joon decided to live together with Sam. And so, Benny rekindled his love with Ruthie who is their caretaker now.

I love this movie because the love is really pure, and every little thing they do is really funny. For example, Joon always makes special drinks with the blender in the morning. The special drink has milk, peanut butter, and some cereal. Sam toasts bread with the iron on the ironing board. He also prepares crab in the dishwasher. He always creates great music with many things, and every time more and more funny.

My favorite scene is in the diner when Sam was playing with the rolls, and juggling the plates. Then he plays two roles by himself with Ruthie. My other favorite scene is at the hospital when he first starts swinging across the window to see Joon, and falls. They are really funny and I laughed out loud every time. The scene where Sam said, “I love you” to Joon is the sweetest thing ever. I love that scene. When I watched it for the first time, I was moved. I watched this movie over and over. I recommend it to you.

I gonna talk about last weekend:D

On Friday, My friend who is owner of the bar called me after I finish lesson in English school, so I went to his bar by myself.
It was the first time to go there by myself.

Have u guyz been to bar by urself?!

It was good work...lol

So I was sooooo nervous and thought I just go back. But I had really bad day so I thought I need to go!!!lol
I called Mari and she cheered me up, so I could go:P Thanks Mari, REALLY!!!!!
I stayed there until 2 in the morning, I was gonna stay there just 1 hr tho.
I didn’t have money, so I asked him to pay that next time:P

On Saturday, I went downtown again to go to dinner with my friends.
They are my high school friends.
They are my awesome friends.
We always have a dinner less once a month.
We talked a lot, like about schools, friends, yah of course guys:P
yah girls talking!XD luv zat! It’s sooooo much fun to be with them.
I took print-club:D

And and and I went to bar again:D
I went there by myself again but this time, I felt better than before.
I met new guys and they were so much fun! We talked and had fun a lot together.
I loooove meeting new ppl tho……unless they are nice:P
And…I had really really really fun with my friend there. We have so much in common. We love same kinds of music, clothes, funny stuff, and just eeeeevery little stuff. Of course California stuff too, and that’s big thing:3
Oh I might go to that bar again in this weekend….Mari u know that huh?lol

How I Study English

I want to improve my English, especially speaking skill. This is how I study my English speaking skill.
I have some friends and host families in State. I text them a lots! We are keeping in touch very well. I sometimes chat or call them, or they call me. Talking on the phone is pretty expensive, so we always use the skype.
I go to English conversation school three or four times a week. I love my teachers and friends there. That English school is very comfortable to stay.　When I go downtown to hang out with some friends, I go to that English school even I don’t have any lessons. I bring my friends there a lot. They have parties often, so I try to go parties, because there are many native English speakers. And it is really fun to talk with them.
I write diary and write schedule in English. I write little letters or text in English to some friends of mine even they are Japanese. I always try to use or speak English, because I love talking in English and want to improve my English speaking skill.

I gonna talk about wednesday!

I went to English school as always, and I had fun as always:D

After class, I talked with my teachers and friends there. And I donno why but  felt soooooooo great when I was talking with them. I donno, I just felt, omg I looooooove English, I looooove talking English!!! And after I gotta home, I was doing my homework then I was looking at facebook. And my teacher talked to me on chat and said "heeeeey did u gotta ur question answered???", because I just asked some questions him, but he had another class and didn't have time to answer them. We chatted maybe half hr and it was sooo much fun. He is such a cool teacher tho. And and and I chatted another friend in State yesterday, and it was also so much fun. And and and and and my another friend in Indonesia( we went to same high school in State) text me and said hey i might go visit for couple week in august!!!!!!! and I was like a......wwwwwwwwwwwwwhaaaaaat?!?! I was sooooooo surprised and soooooo happy though!!! I donno she really gonna visit or not, but just that made me soooooo happy!

those stuff on couple days......made me really really happy and feel just like omg I looooooove English. I mean I know I love English but I just felt that again! Again, I love talking with people in English. Maybe I gonna call my best friend in State tonight:D loooove them love them and love them!

What I wanna write about on essay

・I want to tell you about this movie called “Bowling for Columbine”.
It’s American documentary film written, directed, produced by, and starring Michael Moore.

・He seeks to find out why the Columbine massacre occurred and why there are so many gun murders in the United State.
People say that’s because there are many violent movies, video games, domestic troubles, high unemployment, and violent history. However Japan is ahead in video games, there are more domestic troubles in England, the American unemployment isn’t as high as Canada, and Germany has more violent history.

・In Canada, the gun’s coverage is higher than the United State, but they don’t have gun murders as much as the United State. …….
Moore interviewed some famous people without appointment to find out.


・The interesting part was the interview with Marilyn Manson.He was accused by some people about the Columbine massacre, just because the criminals were listening to his songs. The phrase that Manson said to Moore; “Campaign of Fear and Consumption” is the most suitable phrase about this movie’s question, why there are so many gun murders in the United State.
I think he talked much much better than other voters, especially the guy who is the top of the rifle association? It's funny the person who was accused about that incident talks much better stuff. And his way of thinking, too though. I think that he has the most important point about this movie.

・Many people say that that’s because people in America can get guns easily, and they can have guns. And that’s what I thought, too. So it means it must be related with some culture stuff.

・The director found out it’s about the “Culture of Fear”. America has the culture of fear.
People feel fear and scare, so they buy arms to protect themselves.It’s like this. The American commercial says “If you have bad breath, people are not going to talk to you. So here, you should buy this!” People get scare, and they buy it. So many media show some scary news or commercials on TV. But that’s the American economy is. That’s why they have culture of fear.

・The director says it’s also warning for British people. However here in Japan should think about too.
We can’t have gun, because it’s illegal. But there are gun murders in Japan. Many people have two keys at door, they are getting some crime prevention stuff, parents take their kids cell phone to protect them, and the guards take care about kids to school. Many people know nothing about their neighbors.

・Are we getting the culture of fear little by little? I hope Japanese can noticed something before it’s too late. It’s big and too difficult problems in that movie. But that movie was something. It was good to watch it for one time in my life, I think.

Frog Prince

I read this book called “Frog Prince”.

There was a little princess named Poppy. Her dad was trying to make her marry Prince Humperdink who is smelly and smug. Of course she didn’t want to marry that prince, so she said to her dad, “I will find a handsome guy by myself, aFnd I will marry guy I chose!” and she left her palace.

When she was crossing over the river, she fell down and lost her ball. She thought she was going to be big trouble, so she asked one frog for help. The frog asked her to eat dinner and sleep with her if he got the ball. And she said yes even she didn’t want to or she wasn’t going to keep the promise. When the frog arrived in her palace, she didn’t get him inside, but her dad was mad and he invited him, the frog.

At night, she didn’t want to sleep with that frog, so she thrown him from the window! And soon, she was so sorry and went to him. He didn’t answer, so she cried and kissed him. Just after that, the frog became such a handsome prince!! He was the frog because one bad witch made him frog until a princess kiss him. Her asked Poppy what he can do for her, because she just rescued him. And of course she asked him to marry her, and they did happily.

I knew the frog was gonna be handsome guy or something!:P
But it was cute story tho:D I felt bad when Poppy and her family were eating dinner which was frog’s legs:O!! And I cannot imagine to eat them….too disgusting…..ewwwwwww.

I gonna talk about one band called MEST!

Maybe I told u before but they are my first favorite PUNK-ROCK band:D

It was 3 years ago. I met one guy from LA and we just hit it off. We hung out together everyday and everyday.
He was used to work for DJ so he knows sooo much about music.
He recommended me MEST, and I just love their music.
When we drove to somewhere, we were listened to their songs over and over.
Sometimes we had fun singing their songs at loud in the car:P
Now our life changed a little, and we can’t hang out together like we did before, but still, we try to make time to meet sometimes.
When I listen to their songs, sometimes they remind me about him and some stupid and crazy stuff we did together clearly.
Meeting him was something.
It was big thing for me tho.

Anyway that’s how I started to love Punk-Rock music!!
So the band, MEST is really special band for me.

The bad thing is that they already broke up before I started to love them, so I maybe never could go to their concert=(

Food and Food Habits

My favorite foods are Karaage, and Chirashizushi. On my birthday, I always ask my mom to cook them.
I don’t like vegetable and fish. I mean I can eat them and I eat them sometimes. I always eat main dish first and I get full before I eat vegetables, and I don’t want to eat them, because I don’t like them very much.
That’s why I always get canker sores. I sometimes get three or more of them at the same time, so I go to hospital or burn them with baking soda. It really hurts but it is the easiest way to cure them. I take some pills and applications for canker sores with me. My mom gets mad if I don7 finish up my vegetables, because she loves cooking and l make plans thinking about good diet.My eating habit is putting mayonnaise on. I put it on almost everything even rice or low fish. I can’t eat vegetables or fish without mayonnaise on. I know it makes me get fat if I take it a lot, but I vna7t quit. I even take little mayonnaise with me to school for lunch.

My Hobbies

One of my hobbies is decorating nails. I love to think about design for nails. Normally I put some nail polishes on, and art with tiny brush. After that, I put some articles on. I love nail pierced. You can make a tiny hole with special tools. It is so cute and cool. There is one shop which has so many pierced articles, and I often go there. I buy some for my treat like after I finish tests, or I did good work on something. I go to nail school as hands model. Being decorated is also fun, because I can learn many things about nails. There are so many things and tools for nails and I want to learn and want them. But it is pretty expensive, so I want to collect them little by little. Another hobby is making cards. I often make cards for my family or friends. When I give cards to them and if they like it, I feel so happy and great. It takes hours and hours but I can concentrate on it as decorating nails.

First Classes

I missed almost first classes. I have been sick since Tuesday night, and having high fever. I went to see a doctor on Thursday, and he said that I got flu which is typed B. He said that it is really unusuall to have flu in this season. I was very sad, because I was looking forward to having first classes. It is kind of exciting to see new class mates, teachers, and how or what we will study in this semester. And I know it is very troublesome. I have to ask my friends about what they did in the class, or what we should do for next class. I am worried if I miss something important. For good thing, I am glad to have such a good friends. They said “Don’t worry about class, I will take note so that you can see it later. I will tell you about class, so just get enough sleep and get better for now!” That was really sweet. I am going to school on Monday, so I can’t wait to see them in the class. I am looking forward to having first classes for me!

I want to tell you about Kumamoto zoo. I live near that zoo, so I go there least once a year. If you want to relax and have some clear atmosphere, I recommend you go there. It’s located near an oasis of nature in the city, Lake Ezu. You can walk there in about ten minutes after you get off the tram at Dousyokubutuen-mae. It opens from nine am to five pm. It costs 300 yen for adults, 100 yen for children.

The total area of this zoo is 24 hectares. You can enjoy four kinds of attractions which are the animals, amusements rides, gardens, restaurants, and a souvenir shop. 130 kinds of animals and 600 kinds of plants may soothe you. You can try eleven big rides and 40 small rides. They cost just 10 to 300 yen for each. If you want to take a break, you can go to two restaurants and one souvenir shop.

The most famous animal is the golden snub-nosed monkey. It’s well-known as image of the main character, Songoku. There is a place where you can pet animals. You can have a close contact with animals such as guinea pigs, prairie dogs, mice, sheep, goats, chicks, and chickens. The interesting thing is the Prairie Dog Paddock. You can go through the tunnel and get close-up to prairie dogs at their eye levels.

There is a Ferris wheel, roller coaster, merry-go-round and so on, as normal amusement parks. I recommend you try the monorail. It goes around the zoo for about five minutes, and you can see many animals from different views. The most popular ride for young people is DISKO. It swings left to right while turning. If you like scream rides, you will love it. The zoo is getting many big rides these days, so young people can enjoy them.

The place called Hana-no-kyukeijyo is my favorite place there. It’s a big greenhouse and there are 340 kinds of plants. You can see so many plants and butterflies you probably have never seen before. When you go in there, you can hear the sounds of streams and feel like you are in a completely different place from Japan. The atmosphere is wonderful. That’s why I love that place.

There is a cute souvenir shop. They have some original snacks, stuffed animals, and so on. The most popular souvenir is a snack called Gorira-no-hanakuso. The name sounds silly, but they are sugared beans. It’s pretty famous in Japan. They also have some toys made from woods. They are all handmade toys, so they are good for little kids.

They have many events, so many schools take kids there. I think it’s really neat that you can enjoy many things at the same time. You don’t have to pay that much money, and small kids, young people, elderly people, and of course couples can enjoy it. You won’t find any other places where everyone can get relax and excited. It’s one of the best places in Kumamoto. If you have time and want to have some fun, you probably want to go there.

I know wht they say.
They all know nothing about me....and u right?
Coz I know they have no idea about all the things u hided from me, or all the stupid things u did to me.

I'm so sick of this stupid stuff.
I wanna make it through.
I wanna stay strong.
I know it’s just waste of time.
But I donno wht to do.

The Bird's Wedding, Book Review

I will talk about this book called “The Bird’s Wedding”.
It was such a cute story and happy ending which I love=)
It was about two little birds. They felled in love at first sight. The blackbird was the bridegroom, and the thrush was the bride. They are so nice and kind, so they got so many presents for wedding. They got beautiful wedding dress, flowers, wedding feast and so on. They were all great and every bird was happy about their wedding. The wedding was great; every bird sung beautiful songs and danced.
I really liked the book’s pictures. They were so soft and cute. I love that smell of picture books. I liked that they have a small music on that book. It was really nice and fun.

Happy Mother's Day !!!

What did you guys did to your mom?

My sister and I already got present for mom, so we were planning to cook dinner for her today.
But my sister didn’t. We gotta little fight last night=( She said she gonna go out for a bit which made me really upset because I canceled one plan to my friends because it is mother’s day!!! Thanks god she got home soon after the dinner. Ok I’ll quit talking about this stuff, coz its all fine now.

Aaaaanyway I went shopping with my sister and we got bland new jeans:D and I went to grandma’s home with my dad and mom. There are couple swallow’s nests and some baby swallows were in there. They were soooo cute:D I tried to take some pictures but their parent maybe didn’t like it and I couldn’t.

My mom gave her a beautiful flower which it took times to decide and we were all glad she loved it pretty much. She said she plays for us every morning, and I was so happy to hear that. I was also really glad to see her being very healthy and happy.

After that we went to Food Pal. Its pretty near my grandma’s home. We went to winery as always. I ate wine ice cream and it was sooooo good. There are so beautiful roses there. These days my parents are very interested in roses and they are growing some, so we enjoyed them for little while.

For dinner, actually I HELPED my mom’s cooking:p I can’t cook and she just loooves cooking so…
She loved our present!!! We are sooo happy about thatXD

w-inds.!!!

Today, I gonna talk about my favorite singer, w-inds.!!!!yeeeeeeah!!!!

Ok there are three guys in w-inds. who are Keita, Ryohei, and Ryuichi. Normally Keita sings, and Ryohei and Ryuichi dance. They started to be singer since 2001,03,14. yah it's white day! So they always have some special events on March just for people join in their fun club! I love it because it's really dofferent with summer tour. This year, they have something presents giving! It was an awesome show as alway. Maybe I should stop talk about this show right here....lol

Ok I gonna talk about why I started to love them!

I was 1st grade in junior high school. I was watchig some tv show, and saw w-inds. first time. I had known their song, but I was surprised because I thought that song was sung by girls singer group. Keita has 5 octarbs! That's why I thought so. When I watched tv show, I just loved Keita, and I thought it is sooooo cool that they can sing and dance! I haven't have favorite singer before I met w-inds.. I just started watch their show, buy all CDs, DVDs, magazines.....everything! I was sooooooo crazy about them in junior high though. Everyone said to me you use too much money on w-inds. and someday u won't like them and through w-inds. stuff away! but here I am! 

ohhhhhhh damn times up!  

Presents Day:D

Today, I was sooo tired and didn’t wanna go to school at all=(

But Mari gave me a cuuuuuuute red cell phone key chain, and I loved it!!!! I was soooo happy:D Thank yooooou Mari<3!!!!!>

And Yoshie gave me a w-inds.’s concert DVD!!!

We were talked about w-inds. the other day and she said she was fun of them when she was in junior high? And she said she was gonna throw w-inds. stuff away!!! So I said if u throw it away, I want it!!!!! Don’t throw awaaaaaay!!!!!

You know I’m a biiiig fun of them for about 7 yrs now:p

When she gave me one red bag, I thought huh? Did we talk about any movie??? And she said it’s w-inds.’s DVD and it’s for you! I was like a “OMG!!!! Are you for real?!?!” ,coz!!!! I CANNOT BELIEVE PEOPLE THROW w-inds. STUFF AWAAAAY!!! IT’S w-inds.!!!!LOL

I already have that DVD, but but but I’m just soooooo happy to have two DVDs!!!!!XD Maybe one is for watching, and another is for adorning:p Thank yoooooou Yoshieee<3>

Oh, I got moneeeeey from Mr.Branch! I did little job so he gave me money:3

I just had maybe 30 or 40 yen…………I always don’t work until I have less than 100 yen or something=( So it helps me A LOT!!!!lol

And I found 600 yen in my bag!!!! Thanks god, I have money now!!! wow what a nice presents day!!!

Bland New Bag<3

I went shopping and gotta new bag!
When I found that bag, I just love it, and bought it:p

It was my sister’s birthday yesterday! Happy belated b-day!!!
I went to karaoke with her at 2 in the morning? And we were planning to go get some food and go to karaoke. I grabbed my purse and saw just 600 yen in it…….oh-oh. I went to my sister’s room and said “um ah….hey, here is all my money that I have right now……tehehe:p” Sorry, I gonna treat u next time!

I sung many many songs like avril, elle, zebrahead, and of course w-inds. as always!huh
It’s always good to sing with snacks and soda:Dhaha
It’s soooooo much fun to hang out with my sister:3 luv u!
Aaaaand I went to nice Japanese restaurant with my family. It was great tho.

Golden Week Plans

I didn’t do anything special on golden week. It was quite relaxing little break for me. I thought that I was going to hang out with my friends like every night, but I didn’t do at all. I just waked up at noon, and didn’t feel like I want to make up and get dress perfectly. Everyone knows that girls take such a long time to get ready! I just went to karaoke, and shopping with my sister. We sung many songs with eating snacks and sodas. I bought a new bag and I love it! It was quite nice and relaxing shopping I think. It was my sister’s birthday, so we went to nice Japanese restaurant with my parents.
Other stuff, I just used an Internet, or played games with my Nintendo DS. I have a lot of homework to do, so I did some of them.
On the last day of golden week, I feel like I want to have some fun! But it was too late, of course=(
Tomorrow school starts, and I have to go to school. But I have just one period tomorrow so I am happy about it. It was a nice golden week.

I went to Hamasen yesterday:D
We ate Takoyaki aaaaand Okonomiyaki for lunch! It was gooood. And and! Finally we got a printer for digital camera huh! But no tv yet=( I hope I gonna get new tv, I mean the tv that we have in living room.

My tv was broken just a “liiiiiittle bit” but my dad thrown it away!!!! I’m using small and old tv now. Of course I was so mad and sad, but he said he gonna get new tv for living room, so u can have the tv in the living room! I was happy:p but it was in april last year!!!! God, when I can get good tv, daaaaaaaaaad=(? He said he is getting new tv after golden week, so I hope he really will!
I’m having a little dream, I can watch my favorite bands concert DVDs on big tv with good speakers:p

Oh, yesterday, one booth was selling shaved ices near zoo, so my sis and I went to get some. It was frickin hot so it was nice to eat them:D
Ok, time to go to karaoke now! looooove karaokeXD!!!

The Truth Machine; Book Review

I will talk about this book called “The Truth Machine”.
One professor invented new machine called truth machine. He called one news reporter and introduced it. He said that it is a machine to find out if people tell truth or not. He told everyone that he loves truth, peace, and good people.

He invited three people who are a house wife, a police man, a spy. At first, the house wife brought her husband and asked him if he loves another woman. He said yes and she found he loves her best friend.
Next, the police man came in with criminals. He could find out who had to go to jail, but his boss said “we don’t need you, now!”
After that, the spy came in with another spy. He asked the spy if he has another special secret or not. He talked about it a lot, but said “I never tell the truth, I always tell lies.” at last. He got so confused and things went worth.

All three people were sad, because of the truth machine the professor invented. They were so mad, because they paid a lot of money to him!
They visited the professor and asked him “Do you really love the truth, peace, and good people?!”, but the professor answered “I love money, power, and lies!” They were all so mad, and the police man pulled his gun and shot him. The spy had broken the truth machine.

I was surprised they killed the professor at last, because when I started to read this book, I thought the professor was gonna help people and he was a good man. These days, many professors invent new machines, science is developed and they help a lot, but it isn’t always good for us. There are so many stuff that we don’t need. Many people say is wealthy better than poverty? I think that that’s big problem that we have to think about.

Yesterday was Mari’s birthday!!!!!!

Yah, again. I said it like one hundred times huh?lol
But you know, birthday is really special thing. For me!
She turned to be 20! That’s huuuuuge difference for me tho.
I can’t believe she is 20 now! I mean I just turned to be 19 2 months ago!wow
Before her birthday, I baked cookies and made a card for her. I have been making birthday card from a week ago. It takes long time so I was making it little by little. Making card is so much fun:D
I’m sooooo happy that she loved them!!!!

After school, we went to dating party….oh shouldn’t I said that?:p
Members were nice, and I think everyone had fun that night. Good job, Mari!
After that, Mari and I went to bar. Yah that bar I talked about before. I don't know why, I couldn't talked with him (I couldn't feel I wanna? or something weird tho), my friend very much, coz we just stayed there for an hour or less than that, it was 2ish at night:p

Today, Mari's birthday!!!!!! Yay!!!!!

She said that she isn't feeling very well just before the class, so I hope she will be feeling any better! Or I gonna make her happy:D

Well I don't have yet...but yasterday, my mom my sis and I were talking about we gottado something!!! We thought that it gonna be nice togo to Aso, but I'm sure that it will be sooooo crowded there during golden week. Hmmmmmm what we should do then. 

Oh, I have one plan. I will have dinner with my teacher and students at english school, because the teacher's family is visiting to Japan from Canada. I heard they were so surprised how humid here is. Yah I know, it is so humid and hot here! But I hope they like here=)

Other stuff, maybe I gonna hang out with my high school friends. We haven't hung out these days.

I wish I had enough money to travel though! Fukuoka is fine! I wanna go there to shop around, or concert! omg I need to go to concert!!! I wanna scream and jump around there!

Hi. I’m Misa. I’m 18 and a freshman at KGU. I’m majoring in English. Do you have any brothers or sisters? I live with my parents and older sister. Do you have any pets? If you do, what kind of animals do you have? We don’t have any pets. What do you do? My dad works for NTT Docomo which is a cell phone company. He loves to play golf and often goes golfing on the weekend. My mom works for a nursing home. She loves to do patchwork, and many of her works adorn our home. She also loves to bake bread, and we love her bread fresh from the oven. My sister is 20 and works at a Japanese restaurant. She loves shopping and driving, and she is like my best friend. We share our clothes, and we often go shopping in her beloved station wagon. What do you like to do?

I love music, especially punk rock music and shopping. I often go to Fukuoka to go to concerts and to shop. It takes about 2 hours to Fukuoka by bus. I also love to decorate my nails. I draw something with a tiny brush and sometimes make 3D art with special goods. My favorite shop is in Kumamoto, and they have many kinds of nail things like pierced nails. I like shopping there and have pierced nails that go with each holiday such as Christmas or Halloween.

What do you do on the weekend? I often go downtown to go shopping, or have lunch or dinner with my friends. I sometimes make cards or scrap books on the weekend. I go to English conversation school 3 times a week. All the teachers and students are really nice, and I love to talk with them in English. They often have parties, and many Japanese and foreigners come to party. It’s fun to talk to many people there.

What is the weather like over there? What is popular in your city? My city is named Kumamoto. It’s in southern Japan. Kumamoto is famous for good water, hot springs, and lots of greenery. The most famous mountain is Mt. Aso. It has the biggest caldera in the world. There is a botanical garden, a zoo, and Lake Ezu near my house. It’s really good to walk around on a nice day. You can see beautiful cherry blossoms in the street during spring time. I always have a party under the cherry blossoms with my friends. I live in a really beautiful city. Are you interested in Japan? Have you ever been to Japan before? If you have, which parts of Japan did you visit? If you haven’t, what is your stereotype about Japan? When I stay at your home, I would like to tell you a lot of things about Japanese culture, lifestyle, environment, and language. I also want to learn a lot of things about your country. I would be so glad if we share our culture and learn many things about each other.

I love talking and making new friends. While I stay over there, I want to chat with you, make a lot of friends, and try everything. I hope we can have a lot of fun together.
