World Folktales

I finished reading this book called "World Folktales"(pic).

Ok,as the title, this book is about 9 folktales!
They are from South America,Africa,India,China, and Europe;)!

I'll talk about one folktale called "The Wedding Box" from China.

Main character,Hsiang-ling was so rich but selfish and spoiled everything.
On her wedding day, she gave wedding box to poor stranger who is also having wedding.
That time, she learned kindness to think of others, and not only of herself.
"wedding box";in China, it was traditional that mom give the wedding box to daughter on wedding day.

After while, She had lost everything ,her family, money and home because of terrible flood.

Even she was soo poor, she didn't forget to be kind to others.

Finally she found job as a servant. And that wife was the person whom she gave the wedding box!

She was Mrs.Lu and so rich because Hsiang-ling's wedding box which has great jade helped them to start farm.
Mrs.Lu was really happy to see Hsiang-ling and thanked her soo much.
She shared everything, and they became close friend.

What I really liked in this story is that Hsiang-ling always says "Remember, life moves in circles and happiness comes to people who help others."
I think that would be awesome if everyone think that way.

In every stories, there is an important lesson about life and relationships to be learned.
Also, I could learn about each country's holiday, customs, attitudes, beliefs, and culture!

Nice book review and I'm glad you included the cover! Remember, when you use a comma, there is a space AFTER the comma, not before. Thanks for your book review!
